What to expect at Yod Abyssinia:
Injera & Variety of Wots – Soft, spongy injera paired with richly spiced stews (try the doro wot and shiro).
Tibs – Sizzling platters of sautéed meat, onions, and peppers. The lamb tibs? Unreal.
Tej – Traditional honey wine served in a berelé (round flask), both sweet and surprisingly strong.
Order the cultural platter if you’re new—it’s a little bit of everything on one huge injera. It’s made to share, and trust us, you’ll want to.
